Water/Wastewater: Halifax County owns and operates its own water and wastewater facilities. The County is also served by the Town of Weldon and the Roanoke Rapids Sanitary District.

Electricity: No matter where you choose to locate or live, reliable electrical service is available through Dominion NC Power, Progress Energy, Halifax Electric Membership Corporation, Roanoke Electric Membership Corporation, the Town of Enfield and the Town of Scotland Neck. The Halifax County Airport has more than one runway, the longest of which is a paved runway extending 4006 feet.
